This Privacy Policy describes the information practices of the Time Intersect application (the "Application") and its timeintersect.com website (together, the "Services"). In this Policy, "Developer," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Jose Santos, the developer and operator of the Application.
The Application is a time-zone converter, scheduling, and event management application. You can use the Application without creating an account. We limit collection to information needed to provide the Services, respond to you, keep the Application reliable, and understand how features are used.
Information You Provide
We collect information you choose to provide when you contact us, subscribe to receive updates, join a beta program, complete a form or survey, or otherwise communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, message, and any other information you include.
We use this information to respond to you, provide requested notices or services, operate beta programs, prevent fraud or misuse, comply with law, and—with your permission—send promotional communications. You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message.
Location and iCloud
With your permission, the Application may use your device's current location to identify the city or time zone you are in and show relevant time-zone information and maps. The Developer does not receive or store your current location.
Location and other Application data remain on your device unless you choose to synchronize them through your iCloud account. Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy. You can turn off location access in iOS Settings or in the Application, and you can manage iCloud in your Apple account settings.
Product Analytics and Crash Reports
The Application uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how it is used, find problems, and improve performance and reliability. These services may process general usage, device, app, regional, performance, and crash information, together with an app-scoped identifier.
We do not place your name, email address, current location, contacts, message content, health information, or advertising identifier in our product-analytics events. Analytics and crash information is pseudonymous: it is not intended to identify you directly, but an app-scoped identifier or technical information may still be personal information under some laws.
This information is used only for the Developer's internal product analytics, debugging, and service improvement. It is not sold, used for targeted advertising, or used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. Google processes the information on our behalf under its applicable data-processing terms. More information is available in Google's Firebase privacy and security information and Google's Privacy Policy.
Your analytics choice
You can choose whether to share analytics and crash information and change your choice at any time in Settings > About. Turning analytics off stops future Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection from the Application and does not reduce the Application's core functionality.
Advertising
The free version of the Application may display Google Ads, including rewarded ads. Advertising is separate from the Firebase product analytics described above. We do not provide Firebase product-analytics events to advertisers or use them for cross-app or cross-company tracking. Personalized advertising and access to Apple's advertising identifier remain disabled unless separately disclosed and permitted by applicable law and Apple's App Tracking Transparency rules. For information about Google's advertising practices and controls, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Notifications
The Application may ask permission to send notifications about features you use, including time-zone changes, events, or reminders you schedule. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings.
When We Disclose Information
We disclose information only:
- to service providers, such as Google for Firebase services and Apple for services you choose to use, that process information for the purposes described here;
- when required by law or reasonably necessary to respond to lawful process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or secure the Services; or
- as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate notice and protection.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use personal information for targeted advertising or qualifying profiling decisions.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information you provide only while needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to comply with law, or until you request deletion where applicable.
Analytics and crash information is retained according to our service settings and the provider's deletion schedules, and only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Aggregated or de-identified statistics that no longer identify a user or device may be kept longer. Your analytics preference remains on your device until you change it, delete the Application, or reset its data.
The Application does not maintain user accounts or a database containing your Application content. Your Application data remains on your device or, if you enable synchronization, in iCloud under the control of Apple and your Apple account. The Developer cannot access, retrieve, correct, export, or delete that data for you.
Analytics and crash information is pseudonymous and is not connected to an account or your contact information. We therefore cannot identify, retrieve, or provide a particular analytics record as belonging to you. Turning analytics off stops future collection. If you separately provide information to us—for example, by contacting support—you may contact us about that information using the method below.
Legal Bases and Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, we process personal information:
- with your consent, including where the Application asks you to allow product analytics;
- for our legitimate interest in limited, proportionate publisher-only analytics, or under an applicable statistical or service-improvement exception, where local law permits this after notice and with an effective right to object;
- as needed to provide a feature you request, such as using location on your device or synchronizing through iCloud; or
- to meet legal obligations and protect the Services and their users.
Subject to local law, you may have rights to know about or access personal information, correct it, delete it, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and appeal a denied request. You may also have the right to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We do not engage in those activities, but you may contact us if you have a question or wish to exercise a right. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Where we rely on legitimate interests or a permitted analytics exception, you may object by turning analytics off in Settings > About or by contacting us.
International Processing
Service providers, including Google and Apple, may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers. Google describes its transfer mechanisms in its Firebase privacy and security information.
Children
The Application is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child provided personal information to us without required permission, please contact us so we can delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited information we handle. Our approach begins with data minimization: core Application content remains on your device or in your iCloud account, and analytics is kept separate from information that directly identifies you. We use platform security features, encrypted transmission where supported by our service providers, access controls, and reputable service providers with their own security obligations. We also review the Application and its dependencies as they are updated. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy and update the effective date. If a change materially expands the information collected, its purpose, or third-party use, we will provide additional notice and obtain a new choice where required before the new processing begins.
Contact Us
Privacy inquiries, complaints, and applicable rights requests may be directed to the Privacy Officer using the contact link below. We will review your privacy communication and respond within a reasonable period.
